Bridlington Town manager Curtis Woodhouse this morning confirmed that defender Danny Stimpson has signed for the Seasiders from Scarborough Athletic.
Danny started his career at Leeds United in the youth development set up , before moving on to Huddersfield Town where he spent 5 years up to under 15s. Danny then signed as a scholar at York City where he spent 3 years captaining the youth side and reserve team.
He was then offered a 3 year pro which he turned down to play continental football in the Swedish First Division for Ange If , he played central midfield scoring 16 goals and winning young player of the year.
Danny then returned back to England for trials at Birmingham City and Luton Town, where he opted to sign for Harrogate Town to be closer to home. He played 6 games for Harrogate before rupturing his cruciate ligament. Since recovering he has had spells at Frickley and Ossett Town without settling.
