After 5 years at Handsworth, Will Eades moves to Maltby Main

Five years is a long time for a professional footballer to be at one club, let along a semi-pro footballer, but Will Eades has been with the Ambers for half a decade and has seen a meteoric rise for Handsworth.

However, today the club has confirmed that he will be joining fellow NCEL Premier Division side Maltby Main, “We can confirm that Will Eades has left the Ambers and will sign for fellow NCEL Premier Division side Maltby Main.

21 year old Will leaves the club after 5 excellent seasons with the Ambers that has seen him develop all aspects of his game to become an accomplished NCEL defender.

The Ambers offer of Re-engagement for the forthcoming season was rejected by Will and following lengthy discussions with 1st team manager Jas Colliver and chairman Pete Whitehead , Will has decided his immediate future lay elsewhere.

Will has made 96 appearances in the Amber and Black and during his time with the club has been named Young Player of the year (2017)and was a title & Cup winner with our U21’s,U19’s and U18’s as well as a NCEL League cup winner.

Will moves onto Maltby after the 2 clubs agreed on terms , and we would like to place on record the exemplary manner in which Wilf (Race)and all at Maltby have concluded the move .

Will and his family are always welcome at the Ambers and we wish him every success at his new club and he moves with our thank you for his contribution over the past 5 years.”
