Barton Town have just announced the signing of Joel Sutton from Bridlington Town. The young striker joins Barton with already an impressive pedigree.
“While with the Seasiders Joel scored over 100 goals, with his 100th actually coming against the Swans in our game at Queensgate last season.
A clinical player with a deadly touch and lethal finishing ability, Joel comes into a strong Swans side and adds a degree of flair and firepower. Also a more than handy set piece taker, Joel can win games for the club on his own. He left Bridlington only a couple of weeks ago with Dave Ricardo wasting no time in bringing the youngster to the Easy Buy Stadium.
Joel has been with the Swans before, so will start his second spell at the club looking to help Barton fire their way up the table. Also a former Hull City academy player, Sutton has plenty of potential, and has the ability to win games for the Swans for years to come.
Boss Dave Ricardo was pleased to have captured the exciting young player: “Joel is a player who has lit up the league for a number of years at this level week in week out.
“I know from personal experience he is a man who can take a game away from the opposition in the blink of an eye via a through ball or a calmly slotted finish.
“His link play will add another dimension to our play, and I can see him becoming a fans favourite in no time.”
Welcome to the club Joel, and here’s hoping the club can have a successful season in 2018/19!”
