We are really sad to hear that Knaresborough Town’s Assistant Manager Paul Clayton has announced that he is stepping down from his role.
The club website says, “Paul Clayton has stepped down from his position of Assistant Manager due to work commitments. Paul has had a great impact at the club in the time he was here and played a big part in our title run last season.
Manager Paul Stansfield has made the following statement –
‘I just want to put on record my thanks to Paul for all he has done in the last 13 months – his impact has been massive and led to us having our most successful season on record. Unfortunately due to work commitments he is no longer able to commit fully. From a personal perspective I will miss him as he not only a fantastic coach but a great man. However, we have to now move on quickly and we have done this by promoting Gregg Anderson to player / assistant manager and Colin Heath will now take on the role of player coach. Both have tremendous attributes to help guide our talented group of players to further success.”
We wish to go on record and thank Paul for all his contributions to our website over the past year.
