Morris expecting tough examination from NCEL newcomers Harworth

It’s widely agreed that Lee Morris did a tremendous job in steering Worsborough Bridge Athletic to safety with their nineteenth-placed finish in Toolstation NCEL Division One last term-but now with a clean slate, Lee takes his side to newly promoted Harworth Colliery, back in Division One for the first time in 33 years, this weekend –and he feels that his club’s pre-season has answered a number of questions about his squad, writes Colin Muncie.

“I’m glad the pre- season is over” Lee told the Bootiful Game. “We’ve had some good tests where I have learned a lot about my players, but it’s given us chance to work on how we want to play -and systems -so I’m glad the season starts on Saturday. Pre-season is never easy with players going away- we’ve had quite a few injuries as well -but come Saturday we will be ready”.

Lee is expecting the home side to be up for the clash at the Jones and Co. Recreation Ground. “We are under no illusions” Lee admitted “Harworth will be a tough game. They will have momentum with them coming up and they will have a buzz around the place, so it’s gonna be a tough place to go!”

“We are confident -so the crowd should be in for a good game”.
