It would appear from Curtis Woodhouse’s post match views that his Bridlington Town side got out of jail for free this afternoon after their 2-1 win over Garforth Town.
Three goals in the last eight minutes saw Bridlington lead twice through Joe McFadyen whilst Garforth netted inbetween through Devonte Morton.
“At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!”, Woodhouse said. “No idea how we came away with three points today, Garforth were better team from start to finish and dominated large periods of the game and if it wasn’t for our goalkeeper Tom Jackson they would of been 3 or 4 goals up.
“We need to be a lot lot better but that’s not taking anything away from Garforth, the manager has assembled a very good team and will cause a lot teams problems.
“One positive was the desire to stay in the game and keep believing even when being dominated, another plus was the three subs we brought on, Jack Griffin James Faulkner and Joe McFadden all made a big impact, Joe especially scoring 2 goals to get us the 3 points. Big improvements needed from us that’s for sure.”
