Garforth Town manager Rob Hunter has every right to feel very disappointed at not getting anything from their game against Bridlington Town yesterday – eventually losing 2-1.
Three goals in the last eight minutes saw Bridlington lead twice through Joe McFadyen whilst Garforth netted inbetween through Devonte Morton.
Bridlington Town manager Curtis Woodhouse thought they had robbed Garforth, and Hunter agreed, “We should have been 2-0 up at half time. The first twenty minutes was cagey but we dominated the game from then on.
“Their goal looked offside but we kept going and got a deserved equaliser. If we can learn anything from this it is to manage the game better when we have just equalised with ten to go, we thought we could win it.
“I would say it is one of the best performances from a first game of the season I have been involved with and to get nothing from it was extremely dissapointed game, however, we can take some huge positives from the performance. MOM Alex Low.”
