Views from both camps as Campion travel to Worsbrough

After that impressive 2-0 opening day away win at the dangerous Dronfield Town on Saturday, Campion stay on the road on Wednesday night with a Toolstation NCEL Division One visit to Worsborough Bridge Athletic-and ahead of the trip to Park Road, Campion’s Manager James Bicknell isn’t sugar-coating the difficult evening his players are likely to face, writes Colin Muncie.

James told the Bootiful Game “We are looking forward to Wednesday. I know Worsborough is going to be a tough test. They had a good win against Harworth and no doubt they’ll be full of confidence. We played them towards the end of last season and you could see what a hard working unit they were. Lee Morris had them well drilled and I can only imagine they’ll be better now”.

James has the usual few selection headaches ahead of the game “Away midweek games are always difficult as we’ve a few unavailable “he admitted “but we’ll give it our best shot”.

Worsborough Manager Lee Morris is equally certain that it will be a tough ninety minutes. “Wednesday night’s game will be a big big test for us because -come the end of season – Campion won’t be far away from that top four or five, so we have to prepare right and try to impose our game on them” Lee told us. “We have a few players back and another couple missing through work – but that’s the time of year and every club will be the same. so there’s no point moaning. We just have to get on with things and look to get three points”

“We will be positive in everything we do and make sure we give it everything we have!”
