Winter wants his Ollerton side to be more clinical

Ollerton Town got their Toolstation NCEL Division One campaign off to a solid enough start at the weekend with that 1-1 draw at Rossington Main. Tomorrow night Town host Winterton Town-and Ollerton Manager Dave Winter is keen to go one better in front of the home support at Walesby Lane, writes Colin Muncie.

Dave told the Bootiful Game “I’m really looking forward to our first home game of the season and welcoming Winterton to the Lane. I want us to carry on from where we left off against Rossington; as disappointed as we were with only getting a point we played very well- particularly in the second half -and managed to create numerous chances throughout the game. If we can be more clinical I’m certain we can match the majority of the teams in the League”.

Dave hinted at fresh legs when he picks his squad for the game “We will have some new faces in the squad tomorrow evening which will give us greater strength in depth” he reported.

“We’re under no illusions, though, about the game; Winterton will be full of confidence after their opening day win and will be a very stern test.”
