Colliver hoping to build on pleasing performance in FA Cup tie!

On Saturday, Handsworth Parramore face Maine Road away in the FA Cup. Handsworth got off to a fantastic start last Saturday beating Penistone Church 3-1, writes Mitchell Radford.

The same can’t be said for Maine Road however, as they lost to Eccleshall 2-1. Obviously it is very early days though so you can’t read too much into the first games results as many things can change in the season.

Handsworth Parramore manager James Colliver is hoping for more of the same from last Saturday. “Everyone loves an FA Cup run, financially it’s a great bonus for the club if you can win a few games in the competition. We have had an excellent week of preparations going into the game away on Saturday. The lads are in good spirits and will no doubt give everything come three o’clock on Saturday to still be in the hat and progress into the next round. Our first game of the season last Saturday was a pleasing performance and result so I’ll be hoping for more of the same. We have a strong squad to chose from adding Ollie Fearon who missed out on last weeks game due to an holiday.”
