Goole have “nothing to fear” in FA Cup clash with Morpeth Town!

Goole AFC face a very tough test in the FA Cup as they go up against Northern Premier League Division One East (Evo-Stik) Morpeth Town. They finished 2nd in the Northern League last season and therefore got promoted, whilst Goole have came down from the Evo-Stik into the NCEL this season, writes Mitchell Radford.

A great game is in prospect as it pits a sort of ‘David V Goliath’ feel to it. Both sides will feel they can win and progress to the next round after Goole’s promising performance against Worksop Town last week.

When asked Derry Robson the joint manager of Goole said they have ‘nothing to fear’ and also “I think the FA Cup is a big game for any club at this level. We’ve been drawn at home and it’s a chance to generate some much needed money for Goole, so we are really looking forward to it.

“Morpeth will be a good and well organised side. I think we have to build on a half decent performance against Worksop and take that into Saturday. It’s a cup tie at the end of the day and we have nothing to fear.”
