Foxy warns of the perils of all-you-can-eat breakfasts!

Fresh from that fine FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round win over Sandbach United , Parkgate return to Toolstation NCEL Division One action on Wednesday evening when one of last season’s outstanding performers, Swallownest, make the short trip to the Roundwood complex. In his weekly column for , Manager Billy Fox gave his considered verdict on the Cup win, offered his opinion on Wednesday night’s visitors, updated us on his selection options, and warned of the perils of all-you-can-eat breakfasts, writes Margaret Gregory for the Parkgate FC website and the Bootiful Game.

Summing up Saturday’s victory, Foxy told us “We are of course delighted to be in the next round of the FA Cup ,bringing in much needed revenue -and it gave us the chance to try most of the players that did not start against Nostell”.

Turning to Wednesday’s derby clash, the Parkgate gaffer isnt expecting an easy evening against one of last season’s form teams. “Swallownest will be a very difficult test for us as they have some decent players and a good work ethic” he said.

Foxy is still keen to add to his squad , but the continued loss of his senior striker is still a cause for concern – on and off the park, as he explained.” We still require three or four players and we are hoping for some movement on that in the next seven days”.

“Nathan Joynes is still out and he is a big miss -but if he keeps eating breakfasts like he did at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last week he will be a bigger miss!!”
