Straight back to winning ways for Nostell Miners Welfare in Toolstation NCEL Division One last night, as they travelled to FC Bolsover and came away with a 5-1 win after a blistering first half-and Joint Manager Jason Dodsworth felt the result was no more than his players deserved, writes Colin Muncie.
Nostell took control with four goals in the first half hour or so, through Jack Owen (5 mins) ,Adam Hayton (10) ,Danny Critchlow (30 mins and 4 in 4 for the striker) and Owen again on 32, watched by the 65-strong Langwith Road crowd.
Jack Warwick (Bolsover) and Brad Kerr traded goals in the dying minutes to confirm the win.
Jason told the Bootiful Game “It was a good reaction from the lads on a tough pitch. We made a couple of changes to the side and were bang at it from the off. We attacked with real pace and our midfield controlled the game. Bolsover kept knocking on the door and were very hands on in their tackles, but we stood up to it well and got the important three points”.
“We now move on to Saturday”.
