Armthorpe Welfare are pleased to announce the return to the club of striker Liam Radford. A renowned goalscorer in the NCEL, Radford left Welfare last December to join Nostell Miners Welfare having previously scored 41 goals for Welfare in his spells at the club and his return will undoubtedly boost the squad, writes Steve Pennock.
Manager Mike Carmody said, “I’m really pleased to announce that we’ve managed to once again secure the services of Liam. Everyone throughout the league will know the quality he possesses and I’m delighted he’s agreed to join back up with us. I’ve known Liam for many years and I know I’m getting 100% commitment and effort every time he steps onto the football field. I think he’ll be a good influence around the club and on the younger boys in the squad. I’m looking forward to working with him once again.”
