Armthorpe Welfare renew their recent acquaintance with Glasshoughton Welfare in Toolstation NCEL Division One tomorrow hoping for a repeat of their fine 2-1 win at the TJs Travel Arena in midweek -and ahead of that reverse fixture at the M Pilbeam Construction Stadium in Doncaster, Wellie Manager Mike Carmody wants his side to show the same battling and footballing qualities which clinched the points in Castleford, writes Colin Muncie.
Mike told the Bootiful Game ” We’re looking forward to another tough test. We know we’re in for another tough game. To play the same team again with the space of 4 days is always a difficult and I’m sure Glasshoughton will be looking to reverse the result from Tuesday evening. We will obviously looking to stop them. I’ll be asking for the same attitude and desire from my players as always. We know we have quality all over the field, but we are a very young team so a lot of it is down to individuals mentally”.
Mike isn’t one to let his players get ahead of themselves. “We know first hand that you can never take anything for granted in this League” he warned ” and you need to be at your best week in week out to compete. That’s something we are constantly reminding the players of”.
“We will then just do the same as always and go out and try and win the game”.
