For those fans of the Dutch artist Rembrandt, you’d have to travel to St Petersburg to view his classic work “Return of the Prodigal Son” , based on the biblical parable; but hop on the Bottesford Town supporters bus headed for their Toolstation NCEL Premier Division away fixture at Albion Sports tomorrow morning , look in the driver’s seat and there you’ll find the Bootiful Game equivalent , our own Prodigal Son and Dandy Highwayman, Poachers Head of Media Operations ,the one and only Howard Pirie, back after waaaay too long away -and Howard is again multi-tasking as his Bottesford side look to continue their fine start to the season, writes Colin Muncie.
Howard told TBG “I’m looking forward to my first game of the season- I’ve sadly been away for the first two matches. I have the honour of driving the team bus and when Howard drives the team bus good things happen, and a win on Saturday would be our 8th on the bounce. Corbs (Poachers Manager John Corbett) deserves enormous praise as do the boys and everybody connected to the club”
Howard and the squad make for Throstles Nest cautiously optimistic of another good result. ” We go to Albion full of confidence but will not underestimate them” he told us :Hopefully the M62 will be rocking on the way home on Saturday”.
“Another season and still loving it up at Botty “
