Handsworth Parramore have a tricky FA Cup tie to overcome on Saturday afternoon at Sandy Lane as they host North West Counties Premier Division side Congleton Town.
The Ambers have had a difficult start to the season and will be hoping that a win at the weekend will both give the players a boost, and their finances.
This is Handsworth’s fifth consecutive season in the FA Cup, having reached the Third Round Qualfying stage in 2016-17 – something they would certainly like to replicate.
“I want us to approach Saturday’s game without any fear or pressure, we have good players who need to come and enjoy their football.
“Whenever you play a game or sport what ever it is you don’t enjoy it unless you win , well that’s me anyway. A win in the FA Cup is huge for the club – to compete in the FA cup should be an honour and the lads should never let the opportunity just pass them by.
“We are under no illusions that Saturdays game will be tough, they’ll travel to us and fancy their chances looking at our recent form and building on their impressive start to the season.
“I was impressed with the work ethic on Tuesday and some of our play, we know where we need to improve and I’m confident that the lads will produce on Saturday.
“We then have a free week after our FA Cup game which will give us a chance to get in training and work on a few things.”
