Decimated Rossington go into League Cup seeking good performance & a win!

Now this may be a weekend where a few of our NCEL teams enjoy a well-deserved rest after a hectic start to the season; but that’s not the case here at TBG Towers, where the editor, Attila Kendall, is jumping all over his harassed and underpaid staff to provide worthwhile reading for our fantastic followers. There’s no rest for Rossington Main’ either, who head to Langwith Road for an NCEL First Round tie at Shirebrook Town-and Main Manager Duncan Milligan admits that he’s wrestling with his approach to team selection this weekend, writes Colin Muncie.

Duncan told the Bootiful Game “It’s a frustrating one really as Cup competitions can provide great experience and galvanise clubs at all levels of football; however, and echoing other managers we just seem to have hit a period of player injuries and unavailability that I’ve never seen before at this level of football. We will however go into the game with players that need game time and will have points to prove for the season targets ahead”.

“If we can continue the level of performance from our midweek display, I’m sure a great NCEL cup tie lies ahead”.
