WOODHOUSE as honest as ever: “Performance is irrelevant in the FA Cup, it’s all about the result!”

Twice in their illustrious history, NCEL Premier Division side Bridlington Town have made it all the way to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup, and we at TBG are sure that Curtis Woodhouse would love to emulate the sides of 1960-61 and 1990-91.

The Seasiders host fellow NCEL top flight side Garforth Town, and having played Rob Hunter’s side on the opening day of the season in the league, Woodhouse has some idea of what to expect, “Another tough game for us as I was really impressed with Garforth on the opening day of the season and going forward they caused us lots of problems and to be honest maybe caught us off guard.

“But we now have a bit more of an understanding on them so it will help in preparation but I expect another tough game.

“The extra few grand prize money will be a big help to us over the season so it’s important we get in the hat for the next round. Performance is irrelevant in the FA Cup, it’s all about the result.”
