It was disappointment yesterday for Knaresborough Town who travelled back on the coach from Billingham Sythonia having been dumped out of the FA Vase 3-1.
It’s a setback for Knaresborough but one Assistant Manager Gregg Anderson is keen to move on quickly from, “The game should of been put to bed in the first half. We should of gone in three or four-one up but you have to give their keeper credit he pulled off three fantastic saves.
“After the first 15 minutes when we lost our only striker due to injury but we got to grips with the game and we dominated for long spells! We just couldn’t put the game to bed!
“We didn’t get going in the second half and credit to them they scored a very good second goal and they hit us on the break for their third as we tried to get back into the game!
“Disappointed that we have been knocked out of the Vase but we turn our attention to the FA Cup this Saturday! We move on and learn!”
