SIBSON: “Consistency is key for us and we will be trying to keep that going!”

NCEL Premier Division side Yorkshire Amateur host long-standing top flight side Thackley in a tough test at the Southerns Stadium.

Joint manager Neil Sibson is fully aware of Thackley’s threat as a win could see The Ammas reach the summit of the standings, “We embark on a run of three local derbys all at home starting on Saturday against Thackley. We then follow up by playing Harrogate and Eccleshill.

“Consistency is key for us and we will be trying to keep that going. We have started of quite brightly but we will be looking to get going again in the league after a couple of cup matches.

“The lads who came in for the league cup match midweek did really well so there is healthy competition for places. The lads who take to the field will also be aware of this which hopefully puts everyone on there game.

“We are looking forward to Saturday as we should every game.”
