STOCKS: “We threw the game away…”

Swallownest slipped to 14th in the NCEL Division One standings on Saturday as they went down 4-2 at home to Campion.

Manager Jordan Stocks, “We started brilliantly pressing and aggressively, and we got our rewards. But from there we relaxed, ans I don’t know why. Campion took control of the ball not the game and at half-time 1-1 was fair.

“The second half was a non contest, we threw the game away by presenting them with three good chances and they were clinical as I’d expect a top team too.

“Big big learning curve for us as a team not individually, but a team. No better chance to put this right than FA Vase next week. “
