It was a difficult day despite the scoreline for Dronfield Town and manager Chris Millington – as they had to deal with a 55-minute delay due to an injury to FC Bolsover keeper in their 5-2 win.
“In my opinion we were full value for the win today in front of a healthy crowd which is really pleasing. Aside from the poor start and conceding in the first five minutes I thought we were in complete control of the game”, Dronfield town manager Chris Millington commented.
“It’s always difficult when you have a long lay off and as a manager your always wondering how the lads will perform after a long break.
“However we did well and they will probably look at the penalty for the third goal as a bit soft but we deserved a good lead at half time.
“We scored early in the second half and in the process the Bolsover keeper suffered an injury which resulted in an ambulance being called and a 55 minute delay.
“When the game did re-start we seemed to go through the motions but at the end of the day it’s a really good three points. Thoughts are with their keeper as he has been great in the two games we have played against them.”
