Winterton’s winning streak continues as they thump Rossington

Winterton Rangers continued their quickfire start to their 2018/9 with their eighth consecutive win in all competitions to stay top of Toolstation NCEL Division One with seven wins out of seven today. Their latest win came at Rossington Main with an emphatic 8-1 victory- and even Manager Rob Watson was impressed by the manner of the win, writes Colin Muncie.

Rangers were three up at the break in front of the 72-strong crowd and Luke Anderson weighed in with a brace either side of the interval.

Rob told the Bootiful Game “I’m really pleased with the performance from all the lads today. Rosso is never an easy place to go and they have a fantastic crowd week in week out. Today we just controlled the game and with that came goals. Our aim is to get promoted and every goal matters now without the Play-Offs”.

Rob isn’t getting carried away. “We must remain grounded as no league is won in 7 games , but our winning streak is fully deserved -and long may it continue”.
