Heath happy as Knaresborough climb to 6th!

Knaresborough Town continue to translate their Toolstation NCEL Division One championship form from last season into this term’s Premier Division campaign after a come-from-behind 4-2 win over 12th- placed Garforth Town at the Bannister Prentice Stadium last night takes them up to sixth- and Town Player-coach Colin Heath was understandably happy with a good night’s work, writes Colin Muncie.

Dan Thirkell shot the visitors in front from the spot after 42 minutes, but Niah Payne levelled for the Miners on the stroke of half time.Shaquille Clarke -Adams got Garforth off to a flying start in the second half (47 minutes ) but Gregg Anderson (50) Brad Walker (61) and Robert Worrall (85) hit three unanswered for Knaresborough to clinch the three points in front of a crowd of 117 at Cedar Ridge.

Colin told the Bootiful Game ” It was an excellent result and performance again. We spoke about following up Saturday’s game with a good win- and we did that.We caused them problems down the right all game and looked dangerous from set pieces”.

“With no FA Vase game this Saturday, we now get a week to prepare for 2 massive games”
