Ryan Hindley started his reign at Rossington Main with a huge 4-1 victory at struggling FC Bolsover to complete an early season double, writes Ian Robinson.
Hindley rang the changes by introducing several new faces who will undoubtedly turn Main’s fortunes around, and two of them, Jordan Turner and Dec Howe got on the scoresheet which delighted their Manager “My front two were the difference today. I’m excited by Declan and Jordan playing together and 3 of the 4 goals came from them. We worked hard, but our levels in terms of fitness are nowhere near the levels I expect, but that will change and quickly.”
“I said to the players before the game, let’s work hard and get 3 points. Any more instructions than that would confuse my bunch of players” joked a buoyant Ryan afterwards, adding “we did both and got the points and 4 goals. But we will need to be a lot better going forward and we’ve got a real test on Wednesday against a very good Campion side.”
Hindley also offered up some hope to his opponents, saying “Credit to the Bolsover staff and players, their lads never stopped and gave us problems, it won’t be long before they get off the mark.”
