Needham: “Slow start cost us”

After seeing his Harworth Colliery side beaten 5-1 at Hallam, Colliery boss Lee Needham bemoaned his side’s slow start to the game which saw them concede in the third minute “I thought we started slowly and conceded a sloppy goal but then managed to get ourselves back into the game through a penalty.

“We looked to have grown into the game at that point which is why it was difficult to take when we conceded from a set piece. In the second half we were sloppy and lost the physical battle, you can’t afford to give a away sloppy goals like that and make the mistakes that we did. It’s disappointing and I think the lads are disappointed with themselves after that performance.”

Harworth are next in action next Saturday when they travel to East Yorkshire Carnegie.
