Watson feels his Winterton side can beat anyone in the league

Rangers more than ready for Borough clash

League leaders Winterton Rangers take on pre-season promotion favourites Grimsby Borough on Wednesday night in an eagerly awaited clash between two of the divisions top teams writes Ian Robinson, and Rangers boss Rob Watson insists that his side are more than ready for the test “It’s the game we’ve been waiting for and I’m excited for Wednesday night.

“The lads are up for it and raring to go. There’s no hiding the fact that Borough have a good squad but we feel we can beat any side in this league as they will do too.

“I’m hoping there’s a big crowd and that we can make it 11 in 11. I’ve known Baz for years and he’ll have his team ready for a war and we’ll relish the challenge.”

Rob did however issue a warning “I’m hoping the officials don’t spoil the game and let the lads get on with it. We have nothing to fear and will be looking to take all three points.”
