Agnew confident ahead of Penistone test

Congratulations from the Bootiful Game to Brett Agnew and Anthony Bowsley, confirmed today as Manager and Assistant Manager respectively at Bridlington Town after impressing Chairman Pete Smurthwaite in their recent caretaker roles. Brett and Anthony take their tenth-placed Seasiders squad straight into a tough-looking Toolstation NCEL Premier Division match-up at seventh-placed Penistone Church on Wednesday evening –but Brett isn’t daunted by the trip, writes Colin Muncie.

Brett told the Bootiful Game “We’re confident going into the game against Penistone, which will be a good old scrap- but I’m sure my boys can stand up to the task at hand and we walk away with the win. We have a few injuries and the usual stuff but nothing changes our mindset going into the game.

The new boss is happy with his squad’s response to his time in charge “I’m happy with all the boys attitudes towards me and Anthony since we came in -and you can see they’re giving their all and are happy to learn along the way”.
