Barrett doesn’t mince his words ahead of Worsbrough clash!

Grimsby Borough lost their unbeaten start to the season last week away at high-flyers Nostell Miners Welfare and this coming Saturday it doesn’t get any easier as they face a trip to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.

Joint Borough manager Daniel Barrett was forthright with his words ahead of the clash, “Worsborough is always a hard place to go. They have had their best start for a very long time in this league and it will be a very hard game.

“I’d be a liar if I was to say I don’t care about the result this Saturday as we are in a results business, but the one thing I do want is a reaction, I cannot stand, watch and manage players where 100% work rate is not the minimum.

“Expectancy levels need to be met in both work rate and attitude, the rest will look after itself if the other two are applied.

“It will be interesting.”
