A deserved third in Toolstation NCEL Division One after a flying start to the season, Worsborough Bridge Athletic face another test of their upward mobility when they welcome a wounded Grimsby Borough, who lie sixth but who tasted League defeat for the first time at Nostell last weekend, to Park Road tomorrow – and Briggers Manager Lee Morris is anticipating a reaction from a side he rates very highly, writes Colin Muncie .
Lee admitted to TBG ” I’m expecting the toughest test so far !! Grimsby are one of the best teams in this league -if not the best -and with getting beaten last week they are going be out to prove a point! But all I’m focused on is us and what we do on Saturday; we trained hard this week , look forward to the challenge and see how far we are actually off this season. The lads are buzzing and can’t wait for kick off”.
Lee is determined to make home advantage count from the start. “Grimsby won’t like coming down here” he emphasised “and we need to use this to our advantage from the first whistle. I’m hoping to have two new signings in the squad for Saturday so this will give us a real boost -and if we perform like we can it should be a cracking game”.
Lee wants to hear those Park Road gates clicking.”I hope that with no other local teams playing at home ,the fans get down to watch which will no doubt be a thriller”.
