They may sit twentieth in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division, but Harrogate Railway Athletic’s recent performances continue to suggest that what’s happening on the pitch isn’t reflected in their points tally of just four from nine games. On Saturday, they welcome 12th -placed Yorkshire Amateur to North Yorkshire -and Rail Manager Craig Ogilvie is hoping to end the apparent disconnect between how his side are playing and how their results are going, but they are suspicious of their visitors this weekend, writes Colin Muncie.
Craig told TBG ” We are looking forward to welcoming Sibbo (Ammers Joint Manager Neil sSbson ) and the lads to Station View. I’m certainly wary of an Ammers backlash after their last two games. They’re a better side than the defeats suggest; I know that, and our players know that -so I’m not even looking at recent results as a guide for how the game will go. They’ll be a threat for the full game and if we don’t play as we have been doing over the last few weeks they’ll take advantage of that”
Craig is happy with Rail’s preparations “We’ve trained well this week and have taken huge confidence from the last few weeks” he told us. ” The lads have set their own standards in last week’s second half performance and if we can replicate that forty-five minutes then I genuinely believe we’ll be a threat on Saturday -and for any team moving forward”.
