Depleted Borough hoping to stun Selby “superheros”

It looks like one for the neutral at the Bradley Football Development Centre on Saturday afternoon when Grimsby Borough, fifth in Toolstation NCEL Division One, host Selby Town, two places and just one point below them. The Wilderness Boys reacted to the loss of their unbeaten record with that fine 5-1 win at Worsborough Bridge Athletic last Saturday, whilst the Robins collected their third consecutive win with a three-point haul with a 4-2 win at home to Ollerton Town, so it has all the makings of a fine game between two sides who were expected to be in contention before the season started, writes Colin Muncie.

Daniel Barrett, Grimsby Borough’s Joint Manager agrees. He told TBG “Saturday’s fixture will be a very tough game- it always is against Selby. Selby were one of my tips to push for the League this season and they are amongst the pack, for sure.

Daniel is keeping a close eye on player availability ahead of the clash “We train tonight (Thursday) “ he told us; “and we hope to come through without any injuries, as the squad is now down to 15 with lads on holiday and injuries.”
