Hall Road Rangers Manager Bill Gill has been impressed with the way that Knaresborough Town have started the season following their promotion but acknowledges that the two clubs have a differing approach to life in the top flight of the NCEL, writes Ian Robinson.
Ahead of this weekend’s fixture at Manse Lane, Gill told The Bootiful Game “I would like to congratulate Knaresborough on their promotion.
“This is going to be another tough game as they have invested in a lot of experienced players and look to have a different plan to ourselves which has shown in their results and league position.”
Turning back to his own team, he added “We are almost back to full strength, I think we are 2 to 3 weeks away from getting everyone back and to be able to rotate more and have more competition for places.
“We have had many hurdles to overcome this season so far, so hopefully our luck will change and we can start putting more points on the board these next few months. If we perform like we did on Saturday we can beat anyone in the league, it’s about our mentality not the opponents.”
