Heath is desperate for Knaresborough’s to maintain their excellent start to the season

Tomorrow’s clash at Muglet Lane between Maltby Main [5th] and Knaresborough Town [2nd] in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division is shaping up as one of the games of the weekend – and the Bootiful Game will be covering the game in another of its no-frills extended reports. Ahead of the match-up, Knaresborough Town’s Player Coach, Colin Heath, told us that he’s hoping favourable weather allows the clash to play out as advertised, writes Colin Muncie.

Town enjoyed a hard-fought home win over Hall Road Rangers in the blustery conditions at Manse Lane last week and Colin told TBG, “We travel to Maltby on Saturday off the back of a good result last Saturday in testing conditions. Let’s hope it’s better for both teams this week. I’m sure Maltby will be up for the game after we got the better of them in the Cup last season, so we have to be ready for that and I’m sure the lads are after watching them in training last night.”

Colin is desperate to maintain Knaresborough’s excellent start to the season “It’s so important to keep picking points up and we know it’s going to be tight in the League this season,” he said.

“We are confident – but we know it will take a good team performance to come back with all three points.”
