Thank Heavens….the Bootiful Game can exclusively reveal that Grimsby Borough’s Joint Manager, Daniel Barrett, is safely back on Earth following the extra-terrestrial incident in his back garden after Saturday’s 3-3 home draw with Hallam. The sub-orbital, not over-the-moon Daniel leads his Wilderness Boys across the Humber Bridge tomorrow night for a Toolstation NCEL League Cup Third Round tie with Hall Road Rangers at Haworth Park; and as he told the Bootiful Game, he’ll be rotating his squad at Dawson Drive, writes Colin Muncie.
“The game will be a good opportunity for us to put Saturday behind us,” he told us. “We can have a real good blow out and try some new formations and tactics. Some of our lads have waited for their chance to get a shirt, and they will get that opportunity tomorrow. Then it’s their shirt to keep.”
“It is also a good opportunity for us to see some of the young lads in and around the first team on a regular basis.”
