WATSON: “I’m looking forward to the game on Wednesday night but it’s not a game that’s high on my priority list!”

There’s an attractive Toolstation NCEL League Cup Third Round tie in prospect at Sandy Lane on Wednesday night when Worksop Town, ninth in the Premier Division, welcome Division One Leader’s Winterton Rangers; and although Rangers Manager, Rob Watson, admits that he may have bigger fish to fry right now, he’s still excited by the prospect of a big night for his players, writes Colin Muncie.
Rob told The Bootiful Game, “I’ m looking forward to the game on Wednesday night but it’s not a game that’s high on my priority list. For us – as I’ve said from Day One – it’s the League first and to do well in the FA Vase. That’s not to discredit the League Cup, but it is extra games in my eyes. We’ll still be looking to put on a strong performance by all means but the result won’t affect me as much as it would in the League.”

Rob will be catching up with some familiar face in the opposition technical area. “I know Craig (Denton) and Rob (Poulter) well and it will be nice to catch up with them,” he admitted. ”Worksop on a Wednesday night with a big crowd will certainly be one our lads will look forward to – without any added pressure from myself.”

“Worksop will be a good test for our team – and hopefully it’s a good game for all who come to watch.”
