We have just been informed that Grimsby Borough joint manager Nathan Collins has left the club with immediate effect.
Collins has been at the club for a couple of seasons and even though they have lost in the play-off finals two years on the bounce, he can certainly look back on the period as a successful one.
“I haven’t been enjoying it recently and even though I have not been there for last two games I haven’t really missed it which speaks volumes, I’m sure the team will go on and win the league and I’m proud of how we have built a really good young footballing team on a small budget.
“I will have a few weeks break then crack on with my A license. I have brought a lot of the lads to the club and have worked with some of them since they were 15 years old and wish them all the best, also like to say a big thanks to Dan [Barrett] and Andy [Liddle] and I’m sure the club are in good hands with those two.”
We at The Bootiful Game would like to wish Nathan all the best and also thank him for all his contributions over the past couple of years.
