Agnew, typically, is keeping his head down and his feet on the ground as he makes for Cedar Ridge

It’s been a fine start to life as a Manager for Bridlington Town’s Brett Agnew, who, together with his Assistant, Anthony Bowsley, has piloted the Seasiders into the calmer waters of fourth place in Toolstation NCEL Division One. This weekend, Bridlington head to the Bannister Prentice Stadium and a tricky looking match–up with Rob Hunter’s twelfth-placed Garforth Town; and Brett, typically, is keeping his head down and his feet on the ground as he makes for Cedar Ridge, writes Colin Muncie.

Brett told TBG, “We’ve had a tough run of fixtures recently and this is no different. I expect Garforth to be stubborn in defence and I know they are good in attack. We are going along just nicely at the moment and not getting carried away with the results. The lads have trained very well again and are looking sharp and hungry to get another win to continue our winning run.”

Good news for Brett on the selection front – or maybe not. “We are just about at full strength,” he reported. “Fighting for places all over the team – so I’ve got a bit of a headache picking the team for Saturday.”
