Ahead of Saturday’s 360 degree ‘Action All Areas’ clash with Athersley recreation at the NuBuilds, Hemsworth Miners Welfare’s, Brad Dockerty admits that he and his team mates are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Penguins this Saturday.
“I think everyone’s looking forward to it,” Brad told TBG. “We need to try to get back to winning ways after a few disappointing results and put Saturday’s defeat in the FA Vase behind us. We had a good training session on Tuesday night and hopefully we can push on in the League now, get some momentum going and move up the table,” writes Colin Muncie.
Asked if he is happy with his form this term, and Brad isn’t quite so sure – but he’s convinced that the mood in the camp is good, as Wells sit with four games in hand on Leaders, Yorkshire Amateur. “I had a good start to the season, but personally I don’t think I’m playing as well as I can,“ Brad admitted, “but, I’m hoping to push on after a hamstring injury which was a little setback. The mood is probably the best we’ve had at the minute – everyone is buzzing come game day and can’t wait to play. We’re in a good position at the minute. If we win our games in hand we’ll be in and about the top three – but there’s a long way to go yet, anyone can beat anyone in this League.”
“It’s really unpredictable.”
