He should be dancing on Saturday evening, should Bottesford’s Head of Media Operations, Howard Pirie; and we hope that he’ll be staying alive, too, as four consecutive trips West on the M62 come to an end when the ninth-placed Poachers head to Dennyfield and a Toolstation NCEL Premier Division clash with eighteenth-placed Thackley; and Howard summoned his best Barry Gibb moves as he reflected on a draw and two defeats in North and West Yorkshire, writes Colin Muncie.
“It’s been a tough time on the road into Yorkshire for our last three trips so hopefully it’s a fourth time lucky,” Howard told us. “Thackley had a good midweek result against Maltby Main, so will have the mojo that that brings. We, on the other hand, have been battered around the ring a bit and nobody likes that. If we can get a good result, those last games are forgotten. We welcome back Wayne Graves who will hopefully be back and firing.”
“It makes going to work on a Monday a little bit more tolerable when the boys are winning,” Howard admitted. “It’s not for the want of effort. As in the words of The Bee Gees “We will win again.”
“Up the Botty.”
