Ogilvie keeping a positive outlook despite Rails position

It’s now thirteen games since Harrogate Railway Athletic tasted victory but Manager Craig Ogilvie retains his positive outlook in the hope that Saturday’s game against Eccleshill United will see a change in fortune, writes Ian Robinson.

“It’s another tough game on Saturday against a very well organised team,” said Craig when we caught up with him. “I was lucky enough to see Eccelshill a couple of times last year and a couple of our lads have played there before and know some of their lads too, so I’m hoping we can use that to our advantage with the game plan we’ll work on in training.”

Acknowledging the tough position the club finds itself in, Craig was quick to heap praise on his players, telling us, “The lads are working so hard behind the scenes to turn our league position around. We’re in twice this week and we’ve had some great numbers attending. It’s easy to feel sorry for yourself in our position but we’re not, and the lads’ attitude and commitment shows that.”

With an air of mystery, Craig then let us in on a secret, saying “We’re making some small changes around the club over the next few weeks and using different resources to help us and if we can get some marginal gains out of it, it’ll be a huge help to the whole club.”
