Late last night East Yorkshire Carnegie manager Leon Sewell confirmed that Hull City youngster David Robson had joined the club on Work Experience.
Sewell ran down the list of changes at the club, “With the departure of Lewis Hill to our neighbours Hall Road Rangers I want to thank Lewis for his hard work and commitment to the cause, top lad and not bad at saving a penalty.”
“This week it was also confirmed that goalkeeper Harrison Foulkes has been recalled to Hull City to concentrate on his professional career. Again, massive thanks to Harrison for pulling on the EYC number 1 jersey, I’m sure you’ll all agree he’s got a bright future ahead of him.”
“That said, Harrison’s departure has left us with James Hitchcock as our only keeper. For me James has come in, cracked on with his games and made some important saves recently showing his experience of NCEL notably with Bridlington Town and Hall Road Rangers.”
“This evening I’ve had it confirmed, so can now reveal the signing of another goalkeeper in David Robson, who joins us on work experience also from Hull City and will add competition for the number 1 jersey. David has featured in the under 18’s and 23’s for Hull City this season along with recently returning from international duty for Wales.”
A big thanks to Hull City and Academy manager, Jon Beale and Academy Goalkeeper coach, Steve Croudson for allowing both Harrison and David to join us.”
