Last weekend, fourth-placed Bridlington Town lost narrowly to Toolstation NCEL Premier Division leaders Yorkshire Amateur in a seven-goal cracker in Leeds. This Saturday, the Seasiders return to their base at the Neil Hudgell Solicitors Stadium where they host seventeenth-placed Liversedge; and Bridlington Manager, Brett Agnew is determined to make Queensgate a hard place for visitors to leave with anything, writes Colin Muncie.
Brett told TBG, “it will be good to be back at home on Saturday as that’s where we will pick up most of our points this season, in my opinion. It’s an old cliché but you need to make your home ground a fortress – and pick up as much as you can away from home. All in all, we have been playing some good football of late, so it’s a must that we keep putting good performances in for us to stay in the top pack.”
Brett will be holding a roll call ahead of the game. “We have a few injuries to some key players – but as always, the lads that come in will be well drilled in what I expect from them.” He summed up, “this season has been very exciting so far, and that’s credit to all the clubs and managers for strengthening their teams.”
“Let’s hope it keeps going that way.”
