Hindley: “We need our players to turn up and be men”

After four home games in eleven days, Rossington Main hit the road on Saturday with a trip to Swallownest, a local game for Manager Ryan Hindley, writes Ian Robinson.

And Ryan has got his players well up for it, telling us, “The lads are looking forward to what is not a local derby in terms of miles, but in terms of a lot of players that know each other and will want to get the better of each other.

“This will be a game where we will need all our players to turn up and be men. We need to work harder than ever and reach the levels me and my management team expect, to get anything from this game.

“Praising Jordan Stocks’ men, Ryan said “Swallownest have picked up of late and are a good, solid hardworking outfit but we need to get three points. I saw glimpses the other night of what could be a good team in the making, but talent is nothing without the willingness to be brave in and out of possession.”

“I think with it being international week, it will be a big crowd, and players especially in non league should live for games like Saturday’s. It will be good to see a lot of familiar faces and share a pint at 5pm but until then we have a job to do and three points to hopefully get.”
