PIRIE: “Doom and gloom everywhere – but hopefully not at The Stadio!”

Two big consecutive home wins have put Bottesford Town, seventh, in a good place ahead of Saturday’s Toolstation NCEL Premier Division clash with seventeenth-placed Hall Road Rangers at Ontario Road – and Poachers’ Head of Media Operations, the legend that is Howard Pirie, has cast aside the trials and tribulations of the state of the nation to focus on the recaptured feel-good factor at his club, although he is wary of the weekend’s visitors, writes Colin Muncie.

“Last Saturday (that 7-2 home win over Handsworth) was a real shot in the arm for the club,” Howard admitted to TBG. “As I’ve said before, you can never predict what will happen with Bottesford. We welcome Hall Road, but are conscious they are where they are in the table; we’ve been through this before against lower position sides and come up short. A positive result at the weekend really gets us on a roll after scoring eleven goals in our last two games.”
