Barrett has one eye on the weather ahead of Emley tie

An eight game unbeaten league run has propelled Grimsby Borough into second place in Division One but Manager Daniel Barrett has one eye on the weather ahead of this weekend’s fixture against tenth placed AFC Emley, writes Ian Robinson.

“We are looking forward to the game and hopefully the weather will hold out,” Daniel told us. “There is a game on the pitch tonight and early signs say it will need some work between now and Saturday, which I am positive will be undertaken. It’s one of the best in the league and very rarely is a game off.”

A home win could see Borough climb to the summit but Daniel is keeping things low key, adding: “The focus will be on gaining 3 points at home and just to keep plodding along.”
