After going down 3-1 at Rossington Main at the weekend East Yorkshire Carnegie Manager, Leon Sewell applied the finishing touches to our weekend Toolstation NCEL coverage by admitting that he enjoyed the banter at Oxford Street a lot more than the result, writes Colin Muncie.
“I’m still slightly annoyed we’ve returned back home with zero points after going down 3-1 to Rossington after our recent performances,” Leon admitted.
“For me personally the first 60 minutes of the game were a half decent arm wrestle and for the last 30 minutes the 108 spectators have probably seen 4 of the worst goals ever. We missed a header and not tracked the runner for Jason Stokes goal, for second goal you’ve got Ryan Hindley openly admitting Lee Holmes is offside from a corner, our goal, scored by Jonny Ricardo, was a goalmouth scramble and Jonny has thrown himself at it for 2-1; and second goal for Lee Holmes goes in off one of my players backside!!”
“I’ve always been vocal from the dugout,” Leon confessed, “and had a few comments chucked my way from spectators but yesterday’s comment of “you scream more than my wife” from the Rossington Chairman was the best I’ve had!! We’ll be dusting ourselves down midweek and be back, come next Saturday.””Huge thanks to the traveling EYC support yet again!!”
