BREAKING NEWS! NCEL Division One club SACK manager after 13 months in charge!

NCEL Division One side Winterton Rangers are searching for a new manager as they have sacked Rob Watson after 13 months in charge.

A statement on the club’s official website says, “Winterton Rangers can confirm that as of today the club have sacked Rob Watson as first team manager.

Rangers CEO, Richard Smales, comments on the decision:

“We would all like to thank Rob for his efforts during his tenure as first team manager, firstly stepping up to the position at the back end of last season, taking the club on an excellent run during the first half of this season and of course the recent FA Vase exploits.

“However it has been a disappointing last few weeks which has seen us exit all cup competitions and lose top spot in the league, results haven’t been what the club nor football board expect and ultimately a decision has been made with the view that we can keep on track with the aims and ambitions set out at the start of this season.”

The club will look to make a further update in the coming days on the position.”

  1. Very harsh decision, the lad has done a terrific job, I know results lately have gone against them but another win in the league and theyre up there!…Should be suppporting him at times like this not sacking him!

  2. Jeez. It’s not the Premiership. He was doing a good job. Bet managers in the bottom half glad they haven’t got a C.E.O. like him.
