Barrett felt a share of the points was a just outcome

Grimsby Borough sit second in Toolstation NCEL Division One, a point behind leaders Campion and a point above third placed Selby Town after Borough and the Robins shared the points after a 2-2- draw at the Fairfax Plant Hire Stadium yesterday afternoon – and after a game played in treacherous weather, Wilderness Boys Manager, Daniel Barrett felt a share of the points was a just outcome, writes Colin Muncie.

Jack Debnam had given the visitors a half-time lead with a goal right on the whistle in front of a terrific crowd of 123 at Richard Street, but Fraser Hansen (65 minutes) and Liam Flanagan (77 minutes) put the home side in front. Josh Venney secured a point for Grimsby with five minutes left.

“It was an interesting game,” Daniel told TBG.

“The weather was appalling and unplayable at times. I think a draw was a fair result; however, we let the game slip and its two points dropped in my opinion.”

“Good luck to Selby for the rest of the season.”
